So what does a Somerset photographer blog about when there's time on her hands?

Setting up my photo studio in the lovely market town of Ilminster was one of the best decisions I've made. The studio has beautiful natural light and is a sanctuary of peace and tranquility, despite it's high street location. I work with families and businesses across the south west, the variety that each day offers is part of the joy of my job, never dull moment!

There's not always time to blog, and I have to confess it's a surprise that anybody will actually want to know. But in case you do - here's a collection of thoughts, musings and a smattering of tips and tricks to help you to help yourselves.

Please stay in touch and leave comments - it will be encouraging to know that the words are being read!

In happiness and good health

But the last week has been different, the shimmering icy powder has lingered throughout the day, especially where the long winter shadows have stretched across the frozen earth. There have been some stunning sights, as I was dri...

Once the session is booked I email clients my ‘What to expect’ guide, including tips on how to get the most of your session and, crucially, what to wear. Familie...
